2014 BMF Calendar: Celebrating 50 Years of Moog Modules
Our 2014 calendar features twelve unique visual and historical insights into early Moog modular design and function. Through the stunning photography by Shaun Hollingsworth of modules from Erik Norlander's titanic and renowned "Wall of Doom" Moog modular synthesizer, the Moog legacy comes alive to engage and inspire.
With the calendar, we celebrate the genesis of modular synthesis that helped ignite a revolution in music technology and the modification to the circuitry that became part of the evolution of the technology. The visual beauty explored on these pages is meant to echo the aural revolution inspired by these circuits; the circuits are as beautiful as the sound they create.
Please scroll down to the bottom of the page to see more images of the calendar.
Designed by BMF Archive and Education Specialist Marc Doty, the calendar grids are based upon circuit tracings taken from Moog modular circuit boards. The artwork also includes the text from Bob’s original 1969 patent. Historical and technical descriptions from Marc and Erik Norlander accompany each image. Select historical events in Moog history are noted throughout the calendar.
These calendars make excellent gifts that will be enjoyed all year long.
