Poster: Inside Information Minimoog
Manchester print company, Dorothy.com, has designed and delved into the inner workings of the Minimoog with this new three-color litho print poster.
Designed in celebration of the cult classic synthesizer, Inside Information: Minimoog celebrates the Minimoog and the many musicians who used and were influenced by it. Prior to the launch of the Minimoog in 1970 synthesizers were large, modular machines designed purely for use in the studio. The Minimoog revolutionized this by scaling down the instrument and making it the world's first portable synth, as well as being an affordable piece of equipment for budding home studio experimentalists.
This cutaway print imagines a miniature world of musicians hidden inside the Minimoog. The illustration features 28 cameos from some of the world’s greatest electronic music pioneers, all beavering away doing their own ’thing’.
Follow the visual clues and see if you can identify the likes of Sun Ra, Keith Emerson, Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, David Bowie, Gary Numan (and his Tubeway Army), Giorgio Moroder, New Order, Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Dr. Bob Moog himself...and more.
