“Funk Lives. Play On.” Framed Bernie Worrell Memorial Print
“Funk Lives. Play On.” Framed Bernie Worrell Memorial Print
Description
From the vault comes a memorial print honoring Bernie Worrell (1944–2016), the keyboardist and composer whose work with Parliament-Funkadelic helped shape the sound of funk. His pioneering use of the Minimoog—including the distinctive synthesizer bass line on Parliament’s “Flash Light”—influenced generations of musicians. He also recorded and performed with Talking Heads.
The design features a silhouette of Worrell performing at a Minimoog against a purple background, accompanied by his name, dates, and the words “Funk lives. Play on.” Presented under glass with a white mat and black frame, the print was professionally framed and matted by BlackBird Frame & Art in Asheville, North Carolina.
