This Color of Sound giclée portrait of Bob Moog was created by Brooklyn-based visual artist Brad Heckman. It was inspired by an iconic photo of Bob leaning over a keyboard and gazing directly into the camera. Heckman transformed the image into a brightly colored, ethereal representation of the iconic synthesizer pioneer. The portrait was printed in Asheville, NC on Cold Press Bright, an archival textured fine art print paper with a bright finish.

“I tried to embody Bob’s paradoxes with warm and cool colors, combining the warmth of his humility with the cool precision of his engineering,” noted Heckman. “The work he enabled combined light and dark – just listen to any ELP album – so I wanted to go from near black to near fluorescence.” -- Brad Heckman
